Forming a Synodal Future for Adorers: Meeting of the Formation and Apostolic Action Teams. On April 3 and 4, 2024, the first online meetings of the two major teams of the Congregation of the Sisters Adorers were held in the areas of Formation and Apostolic Action. The first area integrates Formation and Pastoral Ministry, while Apostolic Action includes Apostolic Action and Shared Mission.

These teams are made up, respectively of 12 sisters, those of the General Government, Provincial Governments (Europe-Africa, America, Kolkata, Mumbai) and Delegation (Japan) who are part of these areas.

These meetings follow the recent presentation of the General Government Plan 2024-2026, which sets out the way forward for the Adorers over the next three years. In this context, the Formation and Apostolic Action teams are working to configure a new style of congregational leadership which aims to be more synodal and charismatic.

Through this convocation, the first contact, the priorities of each of the teams have been established. Based on the proposals of the Provinces and Delegation in each of the areas, the priorities of the Congregation for all of them were also agreed upon. The latter will be the ones that each Province will have to put into practice in the countries of which they are composed.

In the task of configuring a new style of leadership for the Congregation of the Adorers, in addition to the two mentioned above, a third driving force for reorganisation also participates. It involves the Superior General and Provincial Superiors and the Bursars of the different levels of government, who will carry out the studies and proposals in this area for subsequent decision-making.

The work carried out by both teams during these 3 years will be transferred to the General Assembly that will take place in 2026, where an evaluation will take place after which it will be decided how to move forward in this sense.
