Google helped to discover her vocation as an Adorer, now she is preparing for her perpetual vows

Manuela Solé is one of the eight young Adorers who have been finishing their formation which started on 1st October in Rome and in Spain before making their perpetual vows.

Manuela, who is 34 years old, is one of those adorers who, before making her perpetual vows, remembers the beginning of her vocation. She was going to start her university and had been questioning about religious life for a long time, which is why she “used to investigate on the networks”, until she met the Sisters Adorers through their website in 2007.

“I Googled: on ‘social issues , Eucharist, religious congregation.’ There the first page appeared with the name “Adoratrices”, upon entering I did not know that we were in Argentina and more over in the city Rosario, where I was going to move to study. I searched for an email contact, and I got in touch with Sr. Andrea, provincial of that time, who contacted me along with the community and from there I was getting closer to the life and mission of Adorers. ” she recalls.

She also highlights that when I found the website and saw the charism as “Adoration – Liberation, I thought it as the perfect pairing: two words that meant a lot to me. As I read, I had the greater anxiety, attraction, and desire to meet the sisters, and know more of St. Maria Micaela and the charism.”

During that time of vocational discernment, Manuela assures that she began to have “a special connection with Jesus in the Eucharist and at the same time she questioned me the different forms of violence, discrimination and poverty that are experienced even in these times as a woman, adding that the reality of human trafficking was becoming more visible in Argentina, and it mobilized me a lot”.

“The suffering caused by slavery worries me, I feel that even if my contribution is small, I must be there promoting new life with Jesus,” she stresses.

In those months of searching, Manuela went through various stages “from confirming the existence of God as Father-Mother, creator, to recognizing and accepting the invitation “Follow me” from Jesus to live the life of Adorers in his world.”

She assures that the process “did not happen from one day to the next” and she declared as “Saint Thomas of the Gospel, God worked a lot in me and continues to do so. I felt His freedom for me and I was free to take many paths. Recognizing myself in the charism and wanting to live as a consecrated woman in this family comes from experience and the certainty that I can be myself fully. The paschal mystery sustains me, believing in the Resurrection encourages me to say ´´yes´´ to Jesus and live a consecrated life”.

Once she decided to enter the community, Manuela points out that the relationship with each sister was very easy because she already knew them, but it was more complicated to adapt “to the dynamics of the schedules, since she did not calculate the time she needed to finish the different trades and sometimes arrived late at community spaces”.

Manuela is now preparing to make her perpetual vows and for this she is undergoing a few months of formation, which assures hopes her to “grow in the sense of being and belonging to the adoring family”, but above all to allow herself to be “surprised by what God wants to give me” and above all to encounter him and his love in this time, that is so important to me. I want to become one of the rocks that sustain and encourage my vocation for the present and the future”.

For this reason, she encourages those who wishes religious life to get going because “although you may think that you cannot, that there are better ones and this life is not meant for you… It is not like that. Jesus has another logic and plan.

“If you are being attracted by his love, encourage yourself to discover where he wants to take you with that Love. Talk a lot with him and talk to those who have done this experience, find someone who accompanies you to discover what God put in you for his humanity, find your gift and share it”, she affirms.
