Adorers and Easter: Where does Jesus rise today?

Adorers and Easter: Where Does Jesus Rise Today? Easter is the heart of the Christian liturgical calendar, a celebration that commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumph over death and his promise of eternal life. The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines it as the “Feast of Feasts”, the “Solemnity of Solemnities” and is the high point of Holy Week.

Easter not only marks the end of Holy Week, but also celebrates the “passage” from death to life through the Resurrection of Jesus. This event is not just a historical remembrance, but a transformative reality that invites people to renew their faith and hope in salvation.

The Eucharist commemorates Christ’s Passover and accomplishes the work of our redemption. Through this sacrament, the sacrifice that Christ offered once and for all on the cross remains ever present.

Therefore, Easter is an invitation to live a new life, freed from sin and oriented towards God’s love. It is a time to recognize that, through the Resurrection, we are offered the possibility of being reborn into a full and authentic existence.

The Resurrection of Christ in today’s world

This Easter, we reflect on the meaning of Jesus’ Resurrection and how it manifests itself in our world today. As we have already noted, Easter is not just a historical event, it is a living reality that is perpetuated in the actions and hearts of people.

Jesus rises in every act of kindness, in every word of comfort, in every gesture of selfless love. In a world that often seems overshadowed by the shadow of individualism and indifference, God’s love and mercy is manifested and shines through the works of those who choose to live their reality and their faith authentically.

The Resurrection of Christ in Social Action

Jesus rises in the hands of people who dedicate their lives or part of their lives to accompanying others in various situations of vulnerability. In this way, Christ’s Easter is reflected, for example, in the people who feed the hungry, in those who bring comfort and also in the steps of those who work for justice and peace.

This spirit is at work in us Adorers and in the whole Adorer Family. Through Adoration, we seek to reflect the Love of the Eucharistic Jesus today. Likewise, in our mission of Liberation we welcome the suffering face and dignity of the women we accompany, we defend their rights and their freedom, remaining at their side throughout their process of recovery and integration.

This Easter we invite you to look for the signs of the Resurrection in your life, where do you see the renewing presence of Christ, how can you be a bearer of his light in the darkness? May the hope of the Resurrection inspire us to live with renewed purpose to orient our existence to God’s love, making his Resurrection present in our relationship with the people he has placed at our side.
