The Province of America of Sisters Adorers has elected its Government for the next triennium (2024-2026) on 20th January, 2024, during its Provincial Chapter.
In this way, the new Government team is made up of the following sisters:
- Provincial Superior: Sr. Teresa de Jesús Valenzuela Albornoz
- Provincial Vicar: Sr. Ángela Altagracia Medina Inoa
- 2nd Consultant: Sr. Albeana Del Carmen Arias Agüero
- 3rd Consultant: Sr. Matilde Rodríguez Salvatierrra
- 4th Consultant: Sr. Luz Mary Builes Ocampo
Sister Teresa de Jesús Valenzuela Albornoz was born on January 28, 1959 in Linares, Chile. She entered the Congregation on July 25, 1988 in Santiago, Chile and for the last 18 years her residence has been in Rome; her first 6 years as Vicar General during the Government of Sr. Elisa Altadill Ardit and the last 12 years as Superior General, leaving her mandate during the XXXI General Chapter held recently.
We thank God for the generosity and service to the Province of America and the Congregation of all the sisters who were part of the previous Provincial Government.
In the Provincial Chapter of America, held from January 5 to 22, 2024 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), 64 sisters participated. The province of America is made up of 208 Sisters who are distributed in 29 communities spread across 10 countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
After the XXXI General Chapter, the Adorers celebrate the Provincial Chapters from January 15 to February 9, 2024. Our Congregation is structured in 4 provinces (America, Europe-Africa, Kolkata and Mumbai) and a delegation (Japan) Therefore, 5 different meetings have been organized.
