India: Final Profession of Srs Anjana and Anupama and Golden Jubilee of Sr Annies

On 14th June, 2023 was a double celebration as two of our junior Sisters in Kolkata (India), Anjana Minj and Anupama Lakra, made their respective perpetual vows. They both courageously said “Yes” to the Lord to commit themselves perpetually in the service of Lord and His people.

Also, Sister Annies Paul celebrated her Golden Jubilee, 50 years of successful completion of her religious life in the service of the Lord as Sister Adorer.

The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Archbishop Thomas D’Souza, Archbishop of Kolkota, took place in the Auxilium parish chapel in Gobra.

Anjana and Anupana are from India. In October and November 2022 the two completed, together with 6 other sisters, the preparation course for perpetual vows, which took place in Rome, Italy, and Madrid, Spain.

Sisters Anjana and Anupama affirmed that it is the unconditional love of God that He has chosen them among many who are called “To adore and to Liberate” as Sisters Adorers, Sisters Adorers Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity. They remain ever grateful to God the Almighty as their long- awaited dream had been fulfilled to offer themselves joyfully and willingly at the service of the Lord. Sr Annies Paul also expressed her gratitude to God for his innumerable blessings and wonders that the Lord has worked in her life and for His faithfulness.

Sisters expressed their sincere thanks to the entire family of Adorers, to their parents, relatives and the people who have played a great role in their life and helped them to come to this day and, also, they asked to continue accompanying them in this journey so that they may be able to give their best in serving the Lord till the end of their life.

“My Soul magnifies the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour”.
