On Thursday, December 8, 2022, a formal Ceremony was held to lay the Foundation Stone prior to the construction of the proposed “Nepal Cheli Aasha Kiran” – Nepal Sisters Ray of Hope. (Convent and skill training) building. The function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Pius Perumana Vice Chancellor of Nepal Vicariate. The service began with a hymn of blessing, followed by prayers and blessing the pit in which the medals of importance is placed with devotion and respect by our Superior General Sr Teresa Valenzuela . Subsequently Sr Teresa Valenzuela placed the cement mixture on it. Then it was followed in turn by Srs Fara Galati, Alice Varkey, Sr Lissiamma, Provincial Superior and all those who were present. Meanwhile Fr Pius blessed the whole land and the congregation praised God in singing hymns.
After laying the Foundation stone we had the Thanks giving Eucharistic Celebration in the Convent celebrated by Fr Pius. Introduction to the Holy Mass Sr Lilly Mathew the superior of the house memorized with gratitude and praise to God the important personalities like late Bishop Antony Sharma, Fr Lawrence SJ, present and former provincial team and many others who made this laying the foundation stone possible for us Adorers in Nepal.
After the Thanks giving Mass, we had a very happy fraternal meal. We enjoyed ourselves the company of each other. The humble beginning of our mission in Nepal 18th January 2014, with the help of God and of so many good people has happily laid a milestone in the life and Mission of Adorers in Nepal.
