How Junior Sisters of Adorers Prepare for Their Perpetual Vows

The Congregation of the Sisters Adorers is experiencing a very special moment: 8 junior sisters are beginning their preparation to take the definitive step in their vocational journey through the profession of perpetual vows.

Specifically, they are Sisters Ankita and Phulmani from the Province of Mumbai; Hang and Hue from the Delegation of Japan; Laxmi from the Province of Kolkata; Marie Flore from the Province of America; and Inmaculada and Marie Reine from the Province of Europe-Africa.

This formation process, taking place between Rome, Madrid, and Loyola, aims to strengthen their vocation, community life, and mission of service to others.

The content is taught by experienced Sisters from the Congregation and other specialists, allowing the junior sisters to deepen their understanding of their identity and mission as Sisters Adorers.

First Stage of Formation in Rome

On April 26, 2025, the 8 junior sisters began their preparation in the city of Rome. During this first month, they are receiving formation in key areas such as community life, vocational joy, shared mission, the apostolic dimension of adoration, spirituality in interculturality, trafficking, and sexual exploitation.

These days of formation coincide with two events of great significance for the Church: the death of Pope Francis and the Jubilee Year of Hope, a special grace for all of them.

Madrid and Loyola: Places Rich in History and Spirituality

From June 1 to 30, the group will move to Madrid to continue their formation.

There, they will explore topics such as interculturality in life and mission, the Eucharist, and the history and figure of our foundress, Saint Mary Micaela, as well as the beginnings of the Sisters Adorers.

Besides the classes, they will visit historical sites related to the origins of the Congregation, such as the Museum and Archive of Saint Mary Micaela at the Mother House in Madrid, and the community in Valencia, where the body of our foundress rests.

Afterward, in July, they will spend a full month of Spiritual Exercises in Loyola, the birthplace of Saint Ignatius, with time for personal prayer and deep discernment.

A Preparation Looking Towards the Future

The final stage, in August, will focus on formation in the Pedagogy of the Sisters Adorers and the apostolic mission, as well as an evaluation and synthesis of the journey completed.

Throughout these months, the junior sisters will also visit several Sisters Adorers’ communities in the Province of Europe-Africa—Agastia (Madrid), Valencia, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Bilbao, Guadalajara, and Ávila—to deepen their understanding of the charism and mission and their sense of belonging to the Congregation.

A Time of Growth and Commitment

Preparing for perpetual vows is much more than a time of study: it is an opportunity to renew enthusiasm, consolidate vocational identity, and open the heart to serve women in situations of prostitution, trafficking, and other forms of violence, following the example of Saint Mary Micaela.

From the Congregation, we invite everyone to accompany our junior Sisters Adorers with prayer as Ankita, Phulmani, Hang, Hue, Laxmi, Marie Flore, Inmaculada, and Marie Reine prepare to say their definitive “yes” to the vocation of Adoration and Liberation.
