On February 23, 2025, the Sisters Adorers Community in Quito, Ecuador, participated in the Vocation Expo organized within the framework of the Jubilee of Hope 2025. The event took place at the San Juan Bautista Parish under the leadership of the Vocational Pastoral Ministry of the Archdiocese of Quito, bringing together various religious congregations and priests in a space of discernment and ecclesial communion.
It was a day dedicated to sharing the charism and mission of each Congregation and offering support to those seeking to discern their vocation.
A day of encounter and vocation
The event began at 7:00 a.m. and continued until 2:00 p.m., concluding with a fraternal lunch among the attendees. Throughout the day, each Congregation presented its mission through their respective stands, providing information and materials about their charisms and the pastoral work they carry out in the Church.
The entire Sisters Adorers Community in Quito was present, represented by Sr. Marjorie, Sr. María Lilia, and Sr. Amanda, who shared the charism and mission of Adoration and Liberation of our Congregation with the attendees. They were also accompanied by Andrea, a young laywoman and member of the Shared Mission group of the Sisters Adorers Family.
Getting to know the Sisters Adorers’ charism
Throughout the event, many people approached the Sisters Adorers’ stand, interested in learning more about our mission, the work carried out with women in situations of prostitution and violence, and about our founder, Saint María Micaela.
The Vocation Expo became a space for dialogue and testimony, where life experiences were shared and questions about vocation and Christian commitment were answered.
Andrea Nole, a laywoman from the Sisters Adorers Family, shared her experience at the Vocation Expo:
“The opportunity to talk with young people and adults about their faith journey made me reflect deeply. Being able to share the Sisters Adorers’ charism was an enriching experience for me as a person and as a woman. What impacted me most was the atmosphere of communion and support that was created. Seeing so many people united by the same purpose—following God’s call—made me feel part of something bigger.”
A Jubilee that strengthens the vocational journey
The participation of our Sisters Adorers–Quito community in the 2025 Vocation Expo reaffirms the Congregation’s commitment to vocational promotion and evangelization.
In the context of the Jubilee of Hope 2025, this event served as a space for encounter, listening, and accompaniment, where young people and adults were invited to open their hearts to God’s call.
The Jubilee reminds us that Christian life calls us to mission and service. With the active presence of the Congregation in this event, we continue to share our mission and charism and offer spaces for discernment to those who wish to deepen their vocation.
