The Sisters Adorers Annual Report 2025 is now available. Once again, we share the work carried out by the Adorers Family alongside women in contexts of prostitution, human trafficking, violence, and other forms of social exclusion around the world.
Throughout 2025, a total of 8,810 women were accompanied through 86 social programmes promoted by the Sisters Adorers in 23 countries across Europe, Africa, America, and Asia.
Many of these women began accompaniment processes marked by the search for new opportunities, protection, autonomy, and dignity. Through Adorer Pedagogy and a Human Rights-based approach, we continue to offer spaces of welcome, training, listening, and empowerment for women in situations of particular vulnerability.
All this social work is made possible thanks to the shared commitment of 242 sisters, 502 professional staff members, and 389 volunteers, who continue to make Saint Maria Micaela’s charism present in different parts of the world.
Women accompanied around the world
Of the total number of women assisted, 7,824 were adults and 986 were under 18 years of age.
By continent:
- Europe and Africa: 4,871 women
- America: 2,244 women
- Asia: 1,695 women
Among adult women, the main situations addressed were:
- Prostitution: 3,788
- Human trafficking: 1,611
- Poverty and social exclusion: 1,105
- Gender-based violence: 584
- Sexual abuse: 308
- Homelessness: 203
- Addictions: 188
- Deprivation of liberty: 37
Among minors:
- Lack of protection: 474
- Sexual abuse: 189
- Domestic violence: 138
- Gender-based violence: 84
- Sexual exploitation: 62
- Human trafficking: 39
An international network of welcome and accompaniment
The Congregation’s social action is organised through Sisters Adorers Social Work, foundations, and associations.
In 2025, we had 86 active social programmes and a broad network of resources and services focused on the comprehensive accompaniment of women.
During this period:
- 2,955 women received street outreach support.
- 4,444 social accompaniment processes were initiated.
- 3,380 women received support for basic needs.
- 1,023 participated in employment training programmes.
- 1,627 received psychological support.
- 1,407 accessed legal guidance and assistance.
Residential and community resources
A total of 3,458 women were accompanied in Community Social Care Centres, 563 in Productive Centres or Workshops, and 742 in Residential Resources.
Of those in residential resources:
- 507 stayed in shelter homes.
- 235 lived in supported housing.
These spaces provide comprehensive care, protection, and accompaniment for women facing situations of particular vulnerability.
Education and shared mission
The Adorer mission is also carried out through educational work. The Sisters Adorers currently have 34 educational centres and 6 student residences.
In 2025, nearly 13,600 students were part of Sisters Adorers educational centres, accompanied by 1,447 teachers and educational staff members. The residences welcomed 339 residents.

The life and dedication of our foundress continue to inspire the Adorer mission alongside women experiencing exploitation, human trafficking, and other forms of violence.
