Sr. Pilar Casas, Superior General of the Sisters Adorers, and Sr. Gabriela Valot, Consultant of the General Government, will carry out the pastoral visit to the Delegation of Japan from March 11 to April 10, 2025.
A trip to strengthen the mission in Asia
The pastoral visit to the Delegation of Japan is a special occasion to meet with the sisters and lay people who are part of the Adorers’ mission in this region.
During these days, they will visit different communities in the Delegation to accompany and share with the Adorer Family. This trip will allow the sisters of the General Government to deepen their understanding of the life of the communities, strengthen the mission and reflect on the challenges and opportunities that arise in the three nations that form part of the Delegation of Japan.
Meetings and key moments
The visit began with the arrival in the capital of Japan, Tokyo, where they were welcomed by the local communities. The agenda will continue with works and meetings, these include a meeting with Cardinal Tarcisius Isao Kikuchi, Archbishop of Tokyo and President of Caritas Internationalis. There will also be a meeting of superiors and an encounter with sisters and lay people to reflect and discuss the Adorers’ mission in the Delegation and its future.
Before returning to Rome, Sister Pilar and Sister Gabriela will participate in the farewell Eucharist in Japan.
A time of grace and communion
This visit to the Delegation of Japan is a time to share experiences, to listen and to continue building community together, as well as the journey of the Congregation in this part of the world.
We all unite in prayer that the presence of Sr. Pilar and Sr. Gabriela in these communities will be a sign of closeness and hope for all the sisters, laity and women whom we accompany.
May this time of encounter help us to continue to respond with fidelity to the charism of St. Maria Micaela and to the mission entrusted to us.
