On 22 November 2025, the Adorer Family celebrated a day of deep joy, especially the Province of Mumbai, which inaugurated the new Micaela’s Care Home, a house built to offer care, welcome and accompaniment to our elder sisters.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Archbishop John Rodrigues of Mumbai, together with the Superior General, Sr. Pilar Casas, and General Councilor, Sr. Lissiamma Thuruthikara, who were visiting the Province.

Sisters from different communities, priest friends, benefactors and friends participated in this celebration that marks a milestone in the recent history of the Province.

A project born of effort, discernment and hope

The construction of the new Micaela’s Care Home has been a long, sustained path, full of commitment.

Sr. Lissiamma Thuruthikara played a key role in the initial stage, working intensely to obtain the necessary municipal permits for laying the foundation stone.

Her dedication, along with the collaboration of those who accompanied the process from the beginning, allowed the project to move forward firmly.

After months of planning, management and shared effort, seeing this house completed became a reason for gratitude and shared joy.

The Congregation expresses special thanks to the current Provincial, Sr. Rincy Sebastien, and her team, for their guidance, leadership and dedication at every stage of the project. Thanks to their work, this dream has become a reality.

Inauguration and thanksgiving

The day began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Archbishop John Rodrigues. Priests from the local parish community concelebrated, raising together a prayer of thanksgiving for this new space dedicated to life and care.

A brief felicitation ceremony followed, recognizing the people who worked tirelessly to make the construction of the house possible and who supported the Congregation throughout this journey.

The celebration concluded with a fraternal lunch shared among sisters, priests, friends and benefactors— a moment of serene joy and deep gratitude.

A home where life is cared for and celebrated

The inauguration of Micaela’s Care Home is a sign of the Congregation’s love for its elder sisters—places where the memory, dedication and history of so many vocations are tenderly safeguarded.

It is also a living expression of the charism of Adoration and Liberation, which becomes loving care, attentive accompaniment and grateful recognition for those who have given their lives to God and to women in contexts of prostitution, trafficking and other forms of violence.

For the Province of Mumbai, this day marked a chapter of hope, renewal and gratitude—truly a reason for joy for the entire Adorer Family.
