The Congregation of the Sisters Adorers participated in the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, held on October 8 and 9 2025 in Rome.
Sisters Carmen Pascual, Secretary General of the Sisters Adorers, Lissiamma Turuthikara, Consultant to the General Government, along with Sisters Helen Poovakot and Lourdina Mascarenhas from the Rome community, joyfully took part in the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, one of the major events of the Jubilee 2025 with Pope Leo XIV.
All consecrated men and women from the various forms of life in the Church were invited to this jubilee gathering: religious brothers and sisters, monks and contemplatives, members of secular institutes, of the Ordo virginum, hermits, and members of the “new institutes.” A true encounter of communion, thanksgiving, and hope, lived in the heart of the universal Church.
A shared journey of faith
On Wednesday, October 8, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., participants made a pilgrimage to the Holy Door, with the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the jubilee churches.
In the evening, at 7:00 p.m., a prayer vigil was held, presided over by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, gathering everyone in St. Peter’s Basilica for an intense experience of prayer and fraternal communion.
Celebration and meeting with the Pope
On Thursday, October 9, at 10:30 a.m., Pope Leo XIV presided over the Jubilee Eucharist for Consecrated Life in St. Peter’s Square.
That same evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., a “Dialogue with the City” took place, organized by the Dicastery, with cultural, artistic, and spiritual activities in various Roman squares — Piazza dei Mirti, Piazza Don Bosco, and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
Adorer Presence
The participation of the Sisters Adorers in this Jubilee 2025 was a moment of grace and universal communion, renewing the desire to live deeply the charism and mission of Adoration and Liberation in service of the most vulnerable women, at the heart of the Church.
