Jubilee 2025: Adorers in America celebrate faith, youth and religious life

The events celebrating the Jubilee 2025 continue across the different countries of the Adorers’ Province of America. Recently, some sisters participated in two significant events: the National Youth Day in La Serena, Chile, and the National Jubilee of Consecrated Life in the Dominican Republic.

National Youth Day in Chile: Young Pilgrims of Hope

From January 21 to 26, 2025, under the theme “Young Pilgrims of Hope,” Adorer Sisters Marcela and Manuela attended the first National Youth Day (JNJ) in La Serena, Chile. Accompanying the delegation from the Diocese of San Juan Bautista de Calama and the Pan con Queso ministry from Juan Pablo II School, they joined more than 5,000 young people in an encounter filled with faith, reflection, and joy.

For the sisters, these were days of joy and renewal in their commitment to following Jesus and sharing the Adorer charism. Benjamin Vera, one of the young participants, highlighted the immediate connection that emerged among attendees:

“It was a journey where I was able to experience religion from a new perspective. Every activity brought me valuable lessons, and I formed a special bond with people I had just met.”

Catalina Labra, a young member of the Pan con Queso ministry, shared her experience:

“From the moment I arrived at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, I felt an amazing energy. The talks, gatherings, and games helped me connect with God in a unique way. I’m sure I will apply what I learned with my classmates and friends to deepen my relationship with Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

During this event, Antonia Tapia returned to the youth ministry after some time away and expressed her gratitude:

“The family that welcomed us was a blessing, and the Adorer Sisters helped me reconnect with my faith, which I had drifted from due to my busy life.”

National Jubilee of Consecrated Life in the Dominican Republic

Jubilee 2025 has also been a special moment for consecrated life in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. On February 2, Adorer Sisters Maria Luisa, Silveria, Dorothia, Rosa Inés, Yohana, and Albeana actively participated in this gathering of prayer and renewal, where religious men and women from various congregations reaffirmed their commitment to God and their mission in society.

For the sisters, it was a joyful encounter filled with prayer, reflection, and celebration. This National Jubilee of Consecrated Life, under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope on the Path of Peace,” provided a space to share experiences, renew their faith in Christ’s message, and strengthen their vocation in the Lord, who calls each person to a unique charism to bear fruit.

The sisters emphasized the importance of this event as a call to continue being a light and source of hope in the community:

“We are a visible sign of the living God who overcomes despair, divisions, and the pain caused by individualism and discord. We bear witness to hope by listening to the cries of the poor, working for the care and stewardship of creation, and living in solidarity with all our brothers and sisters. The Eucharist commits us to being like Christ—broken and shared bread—and deeply reminds us of the essence of our consecrated vocation: To be a generous offering to the Lord for our suffering world, walking with all the existential peripheries of our time.”

Sr. Rosa Inés shared her reflections: “Celebrating the Lord’s call on the Day of Consecrated Life left me with a profound message: to renew my consecration and remain steadfast in hope, filled with joy. It is a call to be radical in service to those most in need, to love without limits, and to recognize that God’s love for us is unconditional—His tenderness reaches the very depths of the heart. Listening to the testimonies of religious women who truly dedicate their lives in imitation of Christ deeply moved and challenged me.”

Through these events, we, the Adorers, embrace the grace of Jubilee 2025 with the Church, celebrating faith, youth, and consecrated life in the Province of America. Let’s continue building this path of hope and renewal together!
