Asian Continental Meet, 2015
The Continental Gathering of Asia, for the Process of re-vitalization, re-structuring and re-configuration of Adorers Life and Mission is being held at Mumbai, from 6-13 May 2015.
With joy and eagerness, the three of Provincial Governments of Japan, Mumbai and Kolkata, gathered in Mumbai, together with the General Government, with an open heart to discern what the Lord wants from us, at this historic moment of the Congregation.
The Meeting began by invoking the Holy Spirit and lighting the traditional Indian Lamp by Sr Teresa Valenzuela, the Superior General and the three respective Provincials of the Asian Continent. Each of the participants was hand over a lighted lamp to remind us that we are to be a light to our sisters in the Provinces in PROCESS initiated in the Congregation. Each one placed her lamp at the feet of our Saint, imploring her assistance and presence in this process.
Sr Teresa Valenzuela welcomes the participants and in her address she stressed on the importance of implementing the PROPOSAL of the VII G.C., held in Cochabamba, Bolivia: “To impel and accompany... Adorers’ Presence” This was followed by the presentation of the Reality of the Congregation today, through a PowePoint presentation by the General Team.
For the next three days, we were enlightened by Fr Luis Albert Gonzalo, a Claratian Priest, on our Journey towards a Corporate, Apostolic Leadership, basing on the VII GC Proposal, required in the Congregation at this moment. There were input sessions as well as ample opportunities to share the views and ideas of the participants; also, to clarify concepts and to get equipped to initiate this JOURNEY of seeking to incarnate our Charism in the XXI century, with its requirements and new styles.
Part II (10th May....)
After the three days of formation of leadership and discussion of the VII General Conference Proposal, the sessions were animated by Sr Teresa Valenzuela. We began the day with a prayer. Sr Teresa asked for the impressions and feedbacks from the participants on the experience of the previous three days. All the sisters shared their views and expressed happiness that the Proposal of the VII General Conference was made clearer to them through the instrumentality of Fr Gonzalo.
Then Sr Teresa proceeded to explain in detail to the participants the Process of Re-vitalization initiated in the Congregation. For this, the Gen. Govt has prepared a Roadmap which was given and explained to the Assembly, for their information and sensitization.
